Valentineโs Day Books!

What better way to share the love than snuggled up with your little one reading a book? Some of my favorite pastimes have been reading to my babies and watching them grow in their love of books! And some of my least favorite pastimes have been after they consume copious amounts of chocolate HA! I'm going to break these down into two lists: Usborne books & Other Books. I'm doing this because Usborne books can only be purchased through a consultant (and lucky for you, I'm obsessed with children's books so I became one). These are books you can't find anywhere online except for a consultant's page, so I want to be sure you understand that if you choose some from List A and List B, they will be part of separate orders. Am I making any sense?! Also, Usborne Books take anywhere from 2-7 days to ship, and Amazon Prime junkies like me need to know these deets in advance.
I also want to let you in on a little secret--if you decide to purchase Usborne books, it's in your best interest to purchase more than 1 because shipping is a flat rate of $6.95 until you spend $75. If you only want one book, grab a friend or a Grandma to go in on an order with you! This is what my family does and it makes my little "free shipping for all" heart much happier :)
Some of these books are just about love and all of the feels, while others are just sweet colors or imagery that is a perfect fit for a festive gift!
I also wanted to mention that any books purchased now through Valentine's Day from my Usborne Book shop will directly benefit a local shelter for Women + Children who are survivors of Domestic Abuse.
Usborne Books
Apple of my Pie (our kids love to use these fun little terms of endearment each year)
Also an Animal (this is the sweetest book but what I love the most is the introduction of unique animal species)
Where Happiness Lives (my all-time favorite Usborne book. Just trust me and grab this one. Lessons for young and old)
Lift The Flap: What are Feelings?
That's Not My Unicorn That's Not My Fairy That's Not My Puppy (an Usborne staple--these touchy-feelies are perfect for sensory exploration and early body part identification)
Are you There Little Unicorn? (this one has creative cutouts that are sure to keep your little one turning the pages)
Little Ballerina Dancing Book (our sound books are super easy to activate and provide endless "independent" reading time)
This Is Frog (hilarious and amazing at engaging busy toddlers with the book)
Jack and The Three Bears (a silly mixup of a classic story with beautiful imagery fit for V day fun)
I'm Almost Always Kind (filled with gorgeous heart cutouts, this book highlights the true meaning of the season)
Don't Tickle The Unicorn (anything from our Don't Tickle series is an immediate hit with all ages! They won't be able to put this one down)
Unicorns Don't Love Rainbows (a brand spankin' new title)
Usborne Activity Books
I wanted to mention that many of these for Valentine's Day trend more on the "girly" side. If you like the concept of a book, but prefer a different theme, just search keywords (i.e. for Little Stickers Unicorns you could just search Little Stickers and it will show you different options)
First Sticker Book Ballet (great for 18m+, just remove the backing around the stickers)
Rainbows Magic Painting (mess free fun!)
Water Wonders Reusable Water Painting Book (I love that this has V day colors but is also seasonally appropriate for our chillly midwest winters. This is an absolute staple in our house)
Little Children's Coloring Book (simple images perfect for early coloring practice :)
Little Coloring: Fairies & Pixies
Little Transfer Book: Unicorns (fun fact: kids LOVE to scribble hard when getting out frustration. This book is perfection for just that! Put it in a calming corner and you're set)
Amazon Books
Happy Valentine's Day, Little Critter
Love: From The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Babies Love Valentines: A Chunky Lift a Flap
I hope you adore these titles as much as we do! Books are truly the way we survive the cold winter months indoors! I'd love to see your babies enjoying them--tag me over on IG @themovementmama to be featured!
